This Year’s Banquet will Honor Joseph Roberts

v  A silent auction will be paired with our banquet to benefit Joseph

When:  March 24, 2010

Where:  Holiday Inn Koger Center

                       1021 Koger Center Blvd.

                          Richmond, VA  23235

Who:  Royals Travel Hockey Players and Parents.  Also, friends and     family and former teammates of Joseph Roberts.                                         

v  Royals’ Travel Hockey fees include tickets for player and ONE parent.

v  Additional tickets are available to a second parent.  Cost of additional ticket is $30

v   Friends and former teammates of Joseph also require ticket purchase of $30.

Time:  5:30 – 10:00 p.m.   

v  Check-In and Silent Auction Begins at 5:30 p.m.

v  Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.

v  Team presentations to begin after all are seated for dinner.

v  Silent auction closes at 8:30 p.m.  Auction winners announced after team presentations.

v Many of you may know Joseph Roberts from having your child on a team with him or having your child coached by him.  Joseph has been a part of the Royals organization for many years. Joseph suffers from Cystic Fibrosis - Cystic Fibrosis is a disease primarily affecting the lungs, causing chronic lung infections. These infections lead to! permanent lung damage over time.  Currently there is no cure for CF.  Joseph has just been put on the lung transplant list.  The financial and emotional impact of a transplant is enormous.  Many people within our organization decided we needed to come together and do something to help Joseph and his family.  We are organizing a Silent Auction Fundraiser and are pairing our banquet with the Silent Auction this year.  All proceeds from this auction will go directly to a fund set up to help offset the expense of Joseph's lung transplant.
