About the Royals

Formed in 1995, the Richmond Royals provide youth travel ice hockey in the greater Richmond area for Mites (8 and under) through Juniors and for yound men and women. 

The Richmond Royals participate in the Chesapeake Bay Hockey League (CBHL), a league sanctioned by the Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA) and the Tier II program in USA Hockey's Southeastern District. These two entities offer strong competitive environments in which the players can grow and prosper.  The Royals seek strong Tier II and Tier I non-league games to challenge our players.

The Richmond Royals is the team name for a not-for-profit entity registered as a corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia as Richmond Hockey, Inc.  The Richmond Royals have been granted 501 (c) (3) status by the Internal Revenue Service.
